Winter Wrap Up

It’s hard to believe that after all of those snow days – the city is finally thawing out and we’ve even had a few really gorgeous spring-like days.  But, then again, that’s Richmond weather – isn’t it? 

We at TheatreLAB have had a fantastic winter and I’m excited to share our first Top 10 List to recap a fantastic three months.

 

 

 

01.          TheatreLAB relauched with a full staff, revised mission statement, and new logo

 

 

02.          TheatreLAB & Richmond Triangle Players partnered to create SPECTRUM, with an amazing cast of young artists who presented “Let Her Liv*” to a sold out audience

 

 

03.          OBLIVION, our first Acts Of Faith Festival production in The Basement, opened to rave reviews

 

 

04.          Thanks to the support of our amazing donors and audience members – we raised $12,000 to continue renovations to The Basement to make it Richmond’s home for unexpected and evocative performance

 

 

05.          We announced an all-star group of 15 artists, our CompanyArtists, who will help create new programming and projects to build a community of artists

 

 

 

06.          The Basement hosted the first Late Night Lip Sync

 

 

07.          The cast of “when last we flew” started rehearsals

 

 

 

08.          We found out how much sidewalk salt is needed to make sure our audiences can join us safely

 

 

 

09.          Auditions for COCK and THE ALTRUIST took place, casting some amazing artists to share these stories { cast announcement coming soon }

 

 

10.          Walls for our Lobby Restrooms went up, floors were buffed, and pipes painted at The Basement
